Implementation of Conceive Design Implement and Operate (CDIO)

The project objective is the implementation of CDIO in our typical technical MSc programmes.

Implementing CDIO results in more T-shaped students at existing running MSc programmes, the faculty at the universities will increase their pedagogic and teaching engineering skills as well as be part of a great pedagogic network. Also the students will be better prepared for the engineering working skills and by that have an insight in the whole raw material chain, compared to today’s technical graduates.

The first year focuses on teaching the faculty in CDIO, entrepreneurship and innovation as well as design of student workspaces and active-, experimental learning.

In Europe none has yet applied CDIO for Raw Material related MSc programmes. Hence this project also focuses on developing CDIO pilot cases for EIT Raw Material, those can be used by other EIT Raw Material members.
